Do you need assistance with filing your taxes?
Provides free, in-person tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteers for qualifying individuals and families. VITA generally serves low- to moderate-income taxpayers, while TCE focuses on older adults and retirement-related tax questions. Find a VITA or TCE site near you.
Offers free tax preparation and e-filing by trained, IRS-certified volunteers. Appointments are typically available at senior centers during tax season. Find a Tax-Aide site near you.
Coordinates free tax preparation services in partnership with IRS-certified volunteers and community organizations. United Way also supports MyFreeTaxes, a free online filing option for eligible taxpayers who prefer to file on their own with guided assistance.

During Tax Season, the Main Library has a limited supply of:
- US Individual Income Tax Return Form 1040
- Instruction booklet for Form 1040 and 1040-SR
Forms may also be available at the branch locations. Please get in touch with the branch nearest you to check on availability.
We do not receive local or state tax forms. State forms/instructions can be obtained by visiting the Ohio Department of Taxation website, opens a new window.
