Notice: Inter-Library Loan Service Unavailable Until October 27
The Clark County Public Library's Inter-Library Loan services through SearchOhio and OhioLINK are currently offline due to a statewide system upgrade. This upgrade will improve the way Ohio’s academic and public libraries share materials, but will temporarily affect your ability to borrow items from other library systems.
What’s Affected:
-
OhioLINK (academic libraries)
Unavailable May 23 – October 27
You cannot request or renew items from OhioLINK during this time. -
SearchOhio (public libraries)
Unavailable August 1 – October 27
You cannot request or renew items from SearchOhio during this time.
Returns, fines, and fees will still be processed as usual.
What You Can Still Do:
-
Continue borrowing items from the Clark County Public Library collection.
-
Return any previously borrowed SearchOhio or OhioLINK items as normal.
-
Ask staff for help finding alternate formats or titles available in our collection.
Why This Is Happening:
OhioLINK and SearchOhio are moving to a new and improved sharing system that will:
-
Expand the number of libraries participating
-
Simplify the borrowing experience
-
Improve access to materials across the state
-
Require less technical maintenance and improve long-term reliability
This upgrade is being provided at no cost to our library and will create a more seamless, user-friendly experience once it's completed.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this transition takes place.
We expect full service to resume on October 27.
