Patrons using wireless access must abide by our library Internet Usage Policy. Our Rules of Conduct also apply while on library property. This generally requires simple respect for the rights of others — no excessive noise, offensive language, etc. Breaking the rules may lead to loss of computer and/or library privileges.

Computers are operating on a walk-in basis but may be reserved in advance. Each patron is limited to 2 sessions or 60 minutes a day (whichever comes first). Call the Ask Us desk at 937-328-6903 or speak with an Ask Us staff member to make a reservation. Reservations can be made up to 4 days in advance. Reservations take precedent over walk-in use.

At the end of a session, the computer will reboot, and all information will be lost. Staff will attempt to sanitize the computer after each use, but due to circumstance that may not be possible. Please note that these computers will sanitized several times a day. Patrons may use at their own risk and are encouraged to wash their hands after using.

Yes. The Reference Department proctors exams for individuals taking correspondence, distance education, or professional development courses.

To set up a proctored exam, students are responsible for coordinating the exam with both their educational institution and the Reference Department. A student may schedule a time to take the exam, by calling the Reference Department at (937) 328-6903. Once the exam has been scheduled at the library, the student should contact their educational institution. The educational institution is responsible for seeing that the Reference staff receives the exam.

The library does not charge for this service, but all costs, including postage, are the responsibility of the student. Please note that some institutions require the proctor to sit with the student during the exam. We are not able to proctor these types of exams.
