Reading Roots Kits

Clark County Public Library Now Offering Reading Roots Kits to Parents of Newborns

It's never too early to get started with reading! The Clark County Public Library is happy to introduce Reading Roots kits.

Reading Roots kits are for Clark County parents with newborns. The kit includes resources for obtaining a library card, getting free books monthly for their child up to age 5 from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, several tips on interacting with their baby, bookmarks, a toy, and a soft book.

New parents can pick up a form at various locations in the area (currently at Clark County Combined Health District; WIC; Mercy Health Springfield Regional Medical Center Birthing Center; Pregnancy Resource Clinic of Clark County; Clark ESC GRADS) or at one of our branches, fill it out at their convenience, then bring it to Lenski Children’s Center at our Main Branch to get a free Reading Roots kit—while supplies last.

Call the Lenski Children's Center at (937) 328-6905 for more information on this new program.
